Always have an Emergency Fund

Always, from your first job and forever after do your best to have an emergency fund accumulated.  This is cash in a bank account you can get to quickly.  This money shouldn’t be invested in mutual funds or a volatile asset like crypto , just a savings account getting low interest.  Do not rely on credit cards, do not rely on on your family, rely on your cash in the bank.  Enough to carry you through 3-8 months of no work.  This way you can pay all your critical bills if you get laid off or become ill.  In the first 5 years of our marriage my wife I survived on credit cards for emergencies.  Each time you do this you pay the bank and get stressed out as you rack up bills you can’t always pay off.  If you save you pay yourself.  Have an emergency savings account so if something bad happens you can get through it without debt.
